Selling prints an adventure!

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

I am so new at this and would love imput from oil painters who want to sell prints of their original work. I am trying to learn all aspects of this venue and there is so much out there it can be overwhelming. Any advice ( that does not promote your particular business) would be appreciated. My work is nostalgic architecture or, “The architecture of Nostalgia”…..which sounds better and would get more tags?? See! I am always thinking!!

I started three new pieces today of US Pipe. It is partially torn down now and has left ghostly images of past buildings imprinted on the ones left standing. It will allow me to use many layers of texture….yummy. Can’t wait to dive in tomorrow! Since they will all be the same palette I will be able to rotate them as I let layers dry and paint all three simulaneously!! What fun!

Prints now available

I have now added the ability to send small prints of most all of my work. Large prints are available for selected pieces in Collage Series, Wheland series, Peru series and Chattanooga series. ALL of the Italy series is available in prints of any size or giclees. Excited about getting this aspect of my artwork going!

I am also looking into licensing my work. I think that NOSTALGIC ARCHITECTURE is a good moniker for my style and plan on pursuing this niche further. Would love help from anyone who has experience in marketing their work in a specific area!!

I am a newbie to the electronic era of marketing so am anxious to learn!
